Angela and Kirstie attack the Ivy

This workday we cleared invasive species from areas of the woods, particularly Sycamores and Ivy.

Sycamore saplings, which area non native trees, seed themselves easily and threaten native species of trees.

We also cut down Ivy which was strangling an ancient Crab Apple tree.

This Crab Apple tree is under threat from extensive Ivy growth Too much Ivy can take vital light and nutrients from the tree Angela and Kirstie attack the Ivy Dave and the two Pauls used a fallen logs to block up an entrance used by motorcyclists They then added branches to make it more difficult for motorcyclists to gain access
